The last OAC walk of the Summer 2004 Term. I drove to Snowdon Ranger with Dave Mullin, Cat and Debbie. We walked up the Snowdon Ranger Path to a rather misty (but bright) summit. The car was parked outside the Snowdon Ranger Youth Hostel. It was the first time I'd seen the shop open at the top. It's a bit little a cross between a Cafe and a very small motorway service station.

The view over Snowdon Ranger and over towards Lllyn Cwellyn. The Welsh Highland Railway train is pulling into the station. There was much concern we might get run over at the Level crossing, but as you can see we were quite a distance away when the train came. |

The cloud and mist on Snowdon. It was actually quite a bright day. We've got past the zip zags at the bottom of the path and we're on Clogwyn Du'r Arddu. We had lunch over-looking the Llyn Ffynnon-y-gwas Reservoir. Trying saying that with a sandwich in your mouth. |

A close-up shot of the Locomotive on it's way to the Summit. The Snowdon Mountain Railway uses train tracks with a rack in the middle (like a thid track) to pull the engine up the hill. Maybe they should fit some footpath's with the same thing? (or would that be Via-Ferrata) |

The train has passed us and is on towards the summit. Somewhere around here was the most important navigational point of the day. Cat is wandering along in the foreground. |

Dave and Debbie on the Summit. Cat's cap. Everyone has been drizzled on a bit by the damp but sunny weather. |

Dave and Debbie again on the summit. Notice the great Rowan Atkinson style pose from the happy snapper in the distance! |

A train waiting at summit station, ready to descend to Llanberis. This is a warmer way of doing Snowdon. |

On the way down. The view down Llyn Cwellyn in the direction of Caernarfon. Nearly home time. Debbie invited us to an interesting lecture run by the Wilderness Medicine Society. |
