An OAC walk from Glenidding up via Striding Edge to Helvellyn. On the way back a swim in Grisedale Tarn for some people. Beautiful hot sunny weather and the stunning early summer landscape and plants of Cumbria.

This bit was a nice downward scramble. I'll buy the Park Ranger guy who helped me with the hand and foot holds a pint if I ever see him in a Lake District pub.

After a long day's walking sometimes all you need is a kip.

... or an Ice cream.

The drive back. Almost back to the start of the Fairfield walk before easter. We finished off with a nice meal in Kendal. At the Ring O' Bells of course!

Watch out for Wirral, Skye and Snowdon coming soon
