How You Can Help

The OAC, like any other society in the Guild, is run by students for students, so any help is appreciated. If you can help in any way get in contact.

We are always keen to hear from people who have experience of leading groups on hillwalks, or who would like to develop the skills to enable them to do so, such as navigation, first aid, etc. We need plenty of leaders each year to help sustain this popular club!

First Years

During the first term we elect two or three first years to help out on the committee, which not only gets you involved in the organisation of the club but is highly sociable. Let us know if you're interested in helping out.

Minibus Drivers

If you are over 21 and have at least 3 years clean driving licence, you could drive a minibus for us on day trips or weekends. Let us know if you're willing to drive, as it could be very helpful.

Car Owners

We sometimes take cars as well as one or two minibuses. If you are a car owner, please consider takling it, especially if there are other people who could travel with you and contribute to your petrol/diesel costs.

Get Involved - Give Us Feedback

The Open Air Club is a society which hopes to cater for a lot of people, so don't stay silent if there's something you're wondering or not happy about. It's not possible to suit everyone all of the time but we do try to get a lot of the way towards that.
