Torridon in located in North West Scotland, on a remote sea loch, east of Skye. accessed only, by a single track road , Torridon feels remote.

The village is overlooked by the fantastic knife ridge of 'Liathach', supported by the impossing massive of the Beinn Eighe mountain range to the east. . To the north west lies Beinn Alligin, with its famous 'horns', poking off the end of the ridge.

The countryside is composed of boggy heather tracks through the valley, whilst the mountains are steep and composed of 'Torridonion sandstone'.

For those who prefer a low level walks, there's a wild and intresting walk, through the local estates grounds, battleing through forest and rhodendrons , taking in sheltered coves, and fantastic views of Loch Torridon.

Torridon is a tiny village with only a small shop,a town hall, and houses scattered around the loch.
